EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an approach to therapy that focuses on the individual’s concerns. EMDR processing helps you break through the emotional blocks that keep you from living a healthy life. EMDR uses rapid eye movements to help you update disturbing experiences, much like when we sleep. During sleep, we alternated between regular sleep and REM. This sleep pattern enables you to process things that may trouble you. EMDR replicates this natural sleep pattern by alternating between sets of eye movements and brief reports about what you are experiencing. This alternating process helps you to update your memories to a healthier present perspective.
